Enterprise cloud services manager Datapipe has released a workbook and whitepaper to help Singaporean banks and financial institutions address complex regulations around cloud computing. They will help organizations comply with security and regulatory frameworks instituted by the Monetary Authority of Singapore, the country’s central bank and regulatory authority.
While growing in popularity, cloud computing in the banking and finance industries is tightly regulated to protect stakeholders when outsourcing personal financial data and infrastructure.
“Financial markets are competitive and a move into a cloud environment can easily help banking and financial institutions gain a competitive advantage by helming scale businesses faster and improve speed to market,” Datapipe chief technology and security officer Joel Friedman said.
“We see increased demand for cloud services from the sector, however this rightly comes with an increased demand for security and compliance controls. The content and program we have released today directly address these requirements.”
